Avalanche hits loco in Khabarovsk Territory

A maintenance train was sent out to the scene of the incident

VLADIVOSTOK, April 8 (Itar-Tass) - In Khabarovsk Territory, an avalanche has knocked a diesel locomotive of a passenger train off the rails. The incident occurred on Monday morning in Sovetskaya Gavan District on the Akur-Lyutyur leg of the Far Eastern Railway.

The press service of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies reported, "As a result of the avalanching, the first section of the diesel locomotive of Passenge Train 352 was knocked off the rails. There was no loss of life and no one was hurt".

A maintenance train was sent out to the scene of the incident.
