KIEV, April 7 (Itar-Tass) - Kiev’s police report the opposition’s rally in central Kiev features over five thousand participants on Sunday. Leaders of opposing parties Batkivshchyna, UDAR and Svoboda - Arseni Yatsenyuk, Vitaly Klichko and Oleg Tyagnibok - are also in the square.
The country’s former Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko, who was released earlier on Sunday following the presidential order, is not expected to participate in the rally.
The meeting is a part of a two-month action, organised by the opposition, which slogan is Ukraine, Rise! It started on March 14 with rallies in Western Ukraine. The culmination of the action should be the opposition’s rally in central Kiev in mid-May.
