MOSCOW, April 1 (Itar-Tass) – Old-age, disability and survivors’ pensions in Russia will grow by 3.3 percent from April 1, the Labour Ministry said.
In accordance with the Law “On Labour Pensions in the Russian Federation”, they are raised “on the basis of an average monthly increase in salaries in the country, the Pension Fund’s budget growth rate per pensioner, subject to adjustments in the insured part of retirement pensions in the same period in connection with price rises,” specialists said.
The additional increase in retirement pensions will benefit 37 million pensioners and 550,000 retired military personnel.
After the increase, the retirement pension will be 10,236 roubles (about 341 U.S. dollars) (up 327 roubles), the old age pension will be 10,645 roubles (about 355 U.S. dollars) (up 340 roubles), the disability pension will be 6,651 roubles (about 222 U.S. dollars) (up 212 roubles), and the survivors’ pension will be 6,550 roubles (about 218 U.S. dollars) (up 209 roubles).
