KEMEROVO, March 30 (Itar-Tass) – Rescue workers have found the body of a third worker listed as missing after the accident at the Osinnikovskaya mine in the Kemerovo Region, the local Emergency Situations Ministry office told Itar-Tass.
“At about 01:00 Moscow time rescue workers found the body of a third missing worker. One man remains unaccounted for,” the office said.
One of the mine’s galleries was flooded at 19:30 Moscow time on March 26. A total of 139 miners were evacuated. Three suffered injuries and were taken to hospital.
Investigators opened a criminal case over abuse of safety rules resulting in death by negligence.
