KALINIGRAD, March 29 (Itar-Tass) – About 80 fishing fans are drifting on an ice floe in the Curonian Lagoon 900 meters away from the coast, the press service of the main department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Kaliningrad region told Itar-Tass on Friday.
“A report that an ice floe with about 80 fishing fans on it had split off in the Curonian Lagoon near the Kashirskoye settlement was received at 19:15 local time,” the press service said.
A search and rescue team from the town of Polesk as well as vessels and boats of the Russian Emergencies Ministry have left for the scene.
