MOSCOW, March 28 (Itar-Tass) – Federation Council speaker Valentina Matviyenko said some state corporations have turned into "pilferers," with billions of roubles pumped into them without any payback.
"They've pumped huge federal investments in the OAK /unified aircraft building corporation/, hundreds of billion roubles. Who can answer the society: "where are the planes? Where's the money?" Matviyenko said at a meeting of the science and expert council over industrial development on Thursday.
She said the Russian government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Economic Development should evaluate the effectiveness of the use of such large state investments.
