Putin met Indian prime minister on the sidelines of BRICS summit

The Russian president recalled that the Russian and Indian sides were meeting regularly

DURBAN, South Africa, March 26 (Itar-Tass) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has suggested that he and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh exchange views on urgent problems of bilateral relations and international issues.

Putin met the Indian prime minister on the sidelines of the BRICS summit. The Russian president recalled that the Russian and Indian sides were meeting regularly.

"This gives us an opportunity to support the high level of relations in all areas and control the situation in all spheres,” Putin said.

For his part, Singh thanked Putin for personal contribution to expanding mutual partnership.
