DURBAN, March 26 (Itar-Tass) - Russia and South Africa have signed over ten documents in the wake of negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his South African counterpart Jacob Zuma. The documents include agreements for cooperation in military –technological sphere, education, the energy sector, science and technologies.
The governments of the two countries signed Agreements for cooperation in the energy sector, air flights safety, mutual recognition of certificates of education and scientific degrees. The sides also signed a program of cooperation in joint cultural projects in 2013-2016 and adopted a Memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the sphere of metals of platinum group.
The Russian Federal Space Agency and the South African Space Agency signed an Agreement for cooperation in the field of astrophysical research under the RadioAstron project.
The Russian Federal Agency for Fisheries and the South African Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries signed a Statement of intent.
In business, the Renova group of companies signed a memorandum for the creation of modern production of ferroalloys with its business partners Lazarus Mbethe and Robinson Ramaite.
The Renova Group also signed a memorandum of cooperation with Inyanga Energy Investments in the field of solar energy and deliveries of Renova-made solar panels.
