US presid security advisor may meet Putin in Moscow April 15

The sides will discuss the new configuration of the US missile defence system, as well as the situation in the bilateral relations

MOSCOW, March 25 (Itar-Tass) – US President’s National Security Advisor Thomas Donilon intends to visit Moscow on April 15 to discuss, among other things, issues related to the American missile defence system, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters on Monday. He did not rule out that President Vladimir Putin may receive Donilon.

“On April 15 Donilon will come to Moscow to hold consultations,” he said. “The sides will also discuss the new configuration of the US missile defence system, as well as the situation in the bilateral relations,” the RF president’s aide specified.

According to him, the Russian side has received the US colleagues’ proposal on the possible meeting of Donilon with Putin, however, Ushakov could not say that this meeting will definitely take place. “If the president finds the time in his schedule,” he added.

According to Ushakov, he plans to hold a meeting with Donilon. In addition, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev will meet with the US president’s national security advisor.
