Georgian deputies vote for limiting presidential powers

The debate lasted for about four hours

TBILISI, March 21 (Itar-Tass) - The Georgian parliament on Thursday voted for an amendment to the Georgian Constitution on limitation of presidential powers. The bill “On Amendments to the Constitution of Georgia” was considered and passed in the first reading at a plenary session in Kutaisi.

The debate lasted for about four hours. All the 135 deputies who were present at the session voted for the amendment.
