NOVO-OGAREVO, March 14 (Itar-Tass) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas hopes for some progress in the settlement with Israel already this year.
“We hope that this year substantial negotiations will be launched with Israel, though the hopes for this are not very big, but we hope that a political settlement on the basis of the principle of the establishment of two countries will be attained,” Abbas said at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Thursday.
