Eight people injured in gas blast in western Siberia

The blast occurred when workers tuned up equipment at a gas treatment depot of Neftegazkomplektmontazh

YEKATERINBURG, March 13 (Itar-Tass) – Eight people were injured in a gas blast that ripped through the Bovanenkovsky gas condensate deposit in the Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district, western Siberia, in the early hours on Wednesday, the press service of the regional emergencies department told Itar-Tass.

The blast occurred when workers tuned up equipment at a gas treatment depot of Neftegazkomplektmontazh. The blast partially destroyed the depot.

Those injured were taken to the company’s medical facility.
