Police kills two gunmen in Dagestan

According to preliminary information, no one from among the law enforcers was hurt

MAKHACHKALA, March 10 (Itar-Tass) – Two gunmen were killed in an exchange of fire with the police in the settlement of Mutsalaul in Russia’s North Caucasian republic of Dagestan on Saturday, a spokesman for the republican interior ministry told Itar-Tass.

According to the spokesman, the incident took place at about 19:20 Moscow time, when the police were holding a search operation. Unidentified gunmen opened gunfire at the policemen, who killed two of them. Their identity is being established. No information about the number of gunmen is available. According to preliminary information, no one from among the law enforcers was hurt.
