Russia Foreign Ministry mourns deeply over Chavez’s death

The ministry recalled Chavez visited Russia nine times

MOSCOW, March 6 (Itar-Tass) – The Russian Foreign Ministry is mourning deeply over the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. “After two years of struggle with a heavy illness Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez died. We are mourning deeply for him,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, which was posted on the ministry’s page in the Facebook network on Wednesday.

The ministry recalled Chavez visited Russia nine times: with official visits in May 2001, November 2004, October 2010 and with working visits in October 2001, July 2006, June 2007, July and September 2008 and September 2009. The late Venezuelan president paid the last visit to Moscow on October 14-15, 2010.
