One man hurt in explosion onboard motor ship at St Pete’s sea port

An investigation is underway

ST. PETERSBURG, March 5 (Itar-Tass) – One person was hurt in an explosion that occurred onboard the TransRossiya motor ship at St. Petersburg’s sea port, a spokesman for the northwestern transport investigation department of the Russian Investigations Committee told Itar-Tass.

The accident took place at about 16:20 Moscow time. According to preliminary data, the blast was caused by an oxygen container. One worker was hurt and taken to hospital.

An investigation is underway.
