MOSCOW, March 2 (Itar-Tass) - Six passenger trains may be delayed because of the freight train accident in Buryatia, the Russian Emergencies Ministry told Itar-Tass.
According to the updated reports, 25 cars with cellulose derailed on the Boyarsk-Posolskoye railroad in the Kabansk district in Buryatia at 14:00 Moscow time on Saturday.
Traffic on the railroad in both directions is halted.
Two repair trains are working at the site. The work is expected to be completed by 01:00.
Another accident in the Trans-Baikal Territory on Saturday delayed three passenger trains -- an Irkutsk-Zabaikalsk train with 288 people, a Vladivostok-Penza train with 297 people and a Vladivostok-Moscow train with 158 people. One more train from Novosibirsk to Vladivostok with 199 passengers was also expected to be stopped.
Nine cars with coal derailed in the Chita Region, the Trans-Baikal Territory, at about 15:00 Moscow time on Saturday. Repair work is continuing there.
