Our Ukraine of ex-president Yushchenko dissolves itself

Yushchenko was invited to the congress, but did not attend it

KIEV, March 2 (Itar-Tass) – Our Ukraine party led by former Ukrainian president Viktor Yushchenko has dissolved itself.

The decision on the party’s dissolution was supported by the majority at the 12th congress of the party in Kiev on Saturday.

Its foundation documents, seals and flags will be handed over to the orange revolution museum of National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

Delegates noted that the political force united “many Ukrainian patriots”, but “betrayal” of the party’s former leader, ex-president Viktor Yushchenko “discredited the orange idea.”

Yushchenko was invited to the congress, but did not attend it.

Our Ukraine seconded a mere 1.11 percent of votes at the parliamentary elections in October 2012 failing to get seats in the parliament.
