KRASNOYARSK, February 22 (Itar-Tass) - A strong wind and a snowstorm in Norilsk, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, have caused delays of five flights. Passengers in Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk and Yekaterinburg are waiting for their flights to the Arctic city, and two flights are delayed in Moscow.
Gusts of wind will reach 20-27 m/sec with 25-degree frost in Norilsk and surrounding areas this Friday, the city's department for emergencies warns.
Children are allowed not to go to school.
Visibility on the roads is less than one km, traffic police said.
Drivers are recommended not to go in personal cars onto the Norilsk-Talnakh road. The Storm headquarters has decided to close the Norilsk-Kayerkan- Alykel-Dudinka road for all kinds of transport.
