Serdyukov, Vasilieva refuse to testify before investigation

The investigators said they expected Russia’s Former Defense Minister to answer a number of questions

MOSCOW, February 19 (Itar-Tass) – Russia’s Former Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov and former chief of the Defense Ministry’s property affairs department, Yevgeniya Vasilieva, were summoned to questioning at the chief military investigations department on Tuesday, but refused to testify, Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin told Itar-Tass.

The investigators said they expected Vasilieva to answer a number of questions, including the activity of the St. Petersburg Military Engineering Center and the illegal alienation of more than 9,000 square meters of land in Anapa.
