MOSCOW, February 10 (Itar-Tass) – Russian tax authorities will be obliged within three days to register foreign citizens and stateless persons, if those have to apply for work permits to be issued in short terms.
The norm is offered in the bill on changes to the federal law on legal status of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation and other legal acts. The governmental press service reports the bill had been presented by the Federal Migration Service and approved by the government’s legal commission.
Adoption of the bill would not require additional expenses of the federal budget or local budgets and “will favour prevention of tax evasion of foreign citizens and stateless persons, will provide timely control over extension of patents’ terms,” the governmental press service said.
