Passengers of emergency plane in Irkutsk take another flight

A special commission has been formed to investigate the causes of the incident and the plane’s technical malfunction

MOSCOW, February 4 (Itar-Tass) – Passengers of the plane that made an emergency landing in Irkutsk have taken another flight to fly to the destination, the press service of the regional main department of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) told Itar-Tass.

On Monday morning, the CRJ-200 plane of the IrAero air carrier flew from Irkutsk to Krasnoyarsk, but just after takeoff, according to specified data, the crew reported that the airliner could not retract the nose landing gear, and the commander decided to return to Irkutsk airport.

“At 10:07 local time the plane made ··an emergency landing. There were 31 passengers and three crewmembers on board. Nobody was hurt,” the EMERCOM department reported.

“At 11:40 local time other passengers took another flight to Krasnoyarsk,” the source said.
