MOSCOW, January 31 (Itar-Tass) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has demanded to organise the current work on the fulfilment of tasks determined in the RF government’s work guidelines until 2018.
“It is necessary to organise the daily work for the fulfilment of the tasks set in the activity guidelines. I also ask you not to forget about the real, daily current work. You know, not only the global economy, but also Russian is facing a number complex current problems, which are sometimes specific only for us,” Putin told the government members at a meeting in the Kremlin.
He, in particular, recalled problems in the agricultural sector last year when there was production shortfall. “Not through the fault of farmers. On the contrary, thanks to them we gathered what we could,” he said. “But still we faced an almost 5-percent – 4.7 percent agricultural production decline.”
“This should be carefully monitored and it is necessary to react to this accordingly. The government has been taking timely, in my view, decisions on interventions. It is necessary to carefully watch what happens in the grain market in the near future – both in our and in the world market,” the RF president said. He instructed the government members to “closely monitor and timely respond” to the energy resource and petrol price rises in the country, especially in connection with the coming spring field work.
He called for taking effective measures in order to “support the agricultural producers and create the necessary conditions for gathering the harvest that the country and its residents, farmers need.”
