Previous Russian govt succeeds to retain real incomes despite acute stage of crisis - Medvedev

"Within three years Russia’s GDP will be growing steadily,” Medvedev said at an enlarged meeting of the Russian Cabinet

MOSCOW, January 31 (Itar-Tass) – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev believes that the achievement of the previous government was the retainment of the real incomes of people despite the global economic crisis.

“I find it as the achievement of the previous government that we succeeded to pass an acute stage of the crisis, retaining the real incomes of people and a quite low unemployment rate. Within three years Russia’s GDP will be growing steadily,” Medvedev said at an enlarged meeting of the Russian Cabinet, outlining the guidelines in the work of the government until 2018 to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the presidium of the Russian State Council.

“All positive tendencies should be consolidated. This is our task,” Medvedev added.
