Moscow checks info on Israel air raids on Syria - FM

“We are taking urgent steps to clarify the situation in all the details,” the RF Foreign Ministry stated

MOSCOW, January 31 (Itar-Tass) – Moscow is checking information about the Israeli Air Force raids on targets in Syria, the RF Foreign Ministry reported on Thursday.

“Moscow has with grave concern taken reports about the Israeli Air Force raids on targets in Syria near Damascus,” the ministry stressed. “If this information is confirmed, then we are dealing with unprovoked attacks on targets in the territory of a sovereign state, which grossly violates the UN Charter and is unacceptable, no matter by which motives it is justified.” “We are taking urgent steps to clarify the situation in all the details,” the RF Foreign Ministry stated.

“Once again, we call for an end to all violence in Syria, against any outside interference and the start of the Syrian nationwide dialogue on the basis of the Geneva Agreements of June 30, 2012,” the ministry stressed.
