Leonid Razvozzhayev agrees to stay in prison hospital

He was brought to the prison hospital last week, complaining of health problems repeatedly confirmed by his lawyers and Razvozzhayev himself

IRKUTSK, January 30 (Itar-Tass) - Leonid Razvozzhayev, an assistant to a State Duma deputy, has agreed to undergo treatment at a hospital of an Irkutsk detention center, where Razvozzhayev is kept in custody while he is under an investigation. Razvozzhayev was brought to the prison hospital last week, complaining of health problems repeatedly confirmed by his lawyers and Razvozzhayev himself.

On Tuesday the press service of the regional department for execution of sentences told Itar-Tass that Razvozzhayev had rejected a medical investigation and a two- week course of treatment offered to him.

However, on Wednesday it has been announced that late on Tuesday Leonid Razvozzhayev wrote an appeal, addressed to the detention center chief, asking to re-appoint a medical investigation. Razvozzhayev also asked for treatment earlier prescribed to him by doctors of the detention center, the press service said.
