No document about replacement of Dagestan’s head – presidential press secretary

As of now, Magomedsalam Magomedov is the head of the republic of Dagestan

MOSCOW, January 27 (Itar-Tass) – Press secretary to the Russian president Dmitry Peskov on Sunday refuted media allegations about the replacement of the head of Russia’s North Caucasian republic of Dagestan.

There were no such documents, he said, commenting on media allegations that the president has signed a “order” to appoint Ramzan Abdulatipov acting head of Dagestan.

“Among the documents the president signs, there is no such category as orders. Orders are issued by the ministry of defence, while the head of state signs other documents,” he said.

When asked openly about the change of Dagestan’s leader, he said, “there were no documents.”

As of now, Magomedsalam Magomedov is the head of the republic of Dagestan.
