MOSCOW, January 26 (Itar-Tass) - Police have released all the people who were detained on Friday for their unsanctioned action in central Moscow, a Moscow police spokesman told Itar-Tass.
All the people detained on Friday at Georgiyevsky Pereulok have been released after reports on administrative offences were written, he said.
On Friday, police detained 20 people for an attempt to hold an unsanctioned meeting in central Moscow near the State Duma building, where a draft law was considered to impose fines for homosexuality propaganda among children.
The draft law was submitted by the Novosibirsk regional legislature in March last year. The document specifies sanctions -- a fine of 4,000-5,000 roubles to be imposed on a person, 40,000-50,000 on an official and 400,000-500,000 roubles on a legal entity. At the same time, it is noted in the accompanying materials that fines are imposed not for the fact of being homosexual, but only for homosexuality propaganda among children.
