NALCHIK, January 25 (Itar-Tass) — Two children and two women have been evacuated after negotiations with a group of militants blocked in a residential house in the town of Chegem in Russia’s North Caucasian republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, where a counter-terrorism operation regime was imposed on Friday morning, a police source told Itar-Tas.
“There might be up to six gunmen inside the house,” the source said. According to the source, the gunmen refused to surrender.
The counter-terrorism operation regime was imposed in the Chegem district, where this house is located, from 11:20 a.m. Moscow time.
