Woman injured in gangland assassination to remain disabled for life

She has a severed spinal cord in the chest area of the backbone, director of the Sklifasovsky emergency medicine hospital said

MOSCOW, January 22 (Itar-Tass) — The woman injured in the assassination of criminal leader Ded Khasan will remain seriously incapacitated for life, director of the Sklifasovsky emergency medicine hospital Anzor Khubutia told reporters on Tuesday.

"If we manage to save her, she'll regrettably remain a profoundly disabled person," as she has a severed spinal cord in the chest area of the backbone.

Aslan Usoyan, alias Ded Khasan was killed by a sniper on January 16. A woman who happened to be at the scene of crime sustained two gunshot wounds and was rushed to the Sklifasovsky hospital. She suffered a massive blood loss and had several backbone surgeries.
