KRASNODAR, January 22 (Itar-Tass) — A freight train collided with a Zhiguli car in the Strominsky district in the Krasnodar Territory on Tuesday. “The Zhiguli passenger was killed, the driver was hospitalized,” the press service of the Krasnodar territorial road police told Itar-Tass.
“The railway incident was caused by the violation, which the VAZ-2105 driver committed, driving on the banning lights through the railway crossing,” the press service said. The freight train rammed into the car.
The police are investigating the details of the railway incident.
This is already the second lethal railway incident on the railway crossing on Tuesday. The freight train collided with a Toyota car, killing four passengers of the car, on the manually controlled, but unguarded railway crossing near Zakharovo in the Altai Territory earlier on Tuesday.
