Police detain five people ransacking sports bar in eastern Moscow

They shot twice towards the personnel and stole the money from the cash register

MOSCOW, January 21 (Itar-Tass) — Police have detained five people who ransacked a sports bar in Moscow overnight to Monday, a Moscow police department official told Tass.

The official said police detained five unidentified people who entered the sports bar at 38, Krasnobogatyrskaya Street (eastern Moscow) at 3 am, Moscow time, wearing masks and stole money from the cash register at gunpoint. “They shot twice towards the personnel and stole the money from the cash register,” he said.

The attackers were detained in the bar some ten minutes after that, the spokesman said. Two of the attackers offered resistance to police. Police had to use weapons as a result, and one of the attackers was wounded in the thigh. All five were detained, and the wounded man was hospitalized. An investigation brigade works at the scene.
