“Over the media reports about the violations of the rights of Leonid Razvozzhayev, who is being kept at the detention centre number one in the Irkutsk Region (Irkutsk), on the orders from the Russian Prosecutor’s General Office the Irkutsk regional prosecutor’s office conducted an inquiry. During the term in custody at the detention centre number one the deputy prosecutor of the Irkutsk Region and the head of the penitentiary supervising department of the regional prosecutor’s office visited Razvozzhayev. Razvozzhayev confirmed that he filed no petitions on the terms of keeping in custody, but reported about a gunshot wound that he has got back in 1992, Gridneva said. “In this respect, the medical station of the Irkutsk detention centre held a medical examination on him immediately and the bullet was found in his spine. In the words of Razvozzhayev, the alien object, which has been in his body for more than 20 years, hampered him to observe the mode, which did not envisage the daily bed rest,” she noted.
“Now Razvozzhayev was recommended the bed rest, he has been kept in custody at the hospital of the Irkutsk detention centre number one for further examination and treatment since January 18,” the spokesperson. “According to the explanations received from him, during the term of keeping in custody at the detention centre number six in Angarsk and the detention centre number one in Irkutsk he did not file any petitions,” she said.
