MOSCOW, January 17 (Itar-Tass) - Vice-Premier Dmitry Rogozin, speaking at a government meeting here on Thursday, announced that he would hold a special teleconference with defence industry officials on January 21 on the production and deliveries of special-purpose firefighting equipment.
"On the whole, we shall discuss all technicalities of the matter on Monday, January 21, during a teleconference that we shall hold with all active participants in the defence industry sector who work on technologies which can well find application for Emergencies Ministry personnel's purposes," the Vice-Premier said.
Rogozin confirmed that a cluster of positional-probing-of-the Earth satellites would be deployed beginning from 2015. The satellite cluster will make it possible to solve tasks of not only eliminating the outbreaks of fires but preventing them as well, he added.
