United Russia launches federal project titled “Each child is important for Russia”

The result will be achieved, only if people, who are really devoted to this work, will do it

MOSCOW, January 17 (Itar-Tass) – The United Russia Party launched the federal project titled “Each child is important for Russia”, Secretary of the United Russia General Council and State Duma Vice-Speaker Sergei Neverov told reporters after a telecom conference with the participation of the secretaries of the regional branches of the party and the chairpersons of the regional Legislative Assemblies on Thursday.

“Today we discussed the ways to implement this project with our regional party activists, and the guidelines of the project will be set in the regions soon and working groups will be formed to work out the proposals to develop the children’s adoption institute and a higher life quality of underage orphans,” he said.

Neverov recalled that Chairman of the United Russia Party Dmitry Medvedev proposed to put under special control the development of the children’s adoption institute and the current situation with the orphans in Russia at an enlarged meeting of Supreme and General Councils of the United Russia Party last December. On December 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree, which envisages the scope of measures to support the families with the adopted children and a higher life quality of orphans.

Meanwhile, Neverov noted that during the fulfilment of the foresaid measures the settlement of many questions “is directly linked with local special features” and depends from the work of the regional authorities. “Therefore, we find it right so that our regional offices will develop a systemic approach to the settlement of this question in their regions. In particular, they can attract to this work all people, who are concerned over the position of the underage orphans, including representatives of the regional civil society, voluntary organizations, the families, who adopted or are planning to adopt a child. The result will be achieved, only if people, who are really devoted to this work, will do it,” the secretary of the United Russia General Council said.

The party in the regions should develop “a regional roadmap” of the project, a systemic approach to the fulfilment of the presidential decree in the regions, as well as the search for new solutions to the development of the children’s adoption institute in Russia. “Today there are some regions, where the children’s adoption issues are resolved successfully. Other regions would be able to use their experience that will become possible after the generalization of the proposals of the working groups in the regions, particularly for the proposals to improve the federal legislation in this sphere,” the secretary of the United Russia General Council said in conclusion.
