NALCHIK, January 16 (Itar-Tass) — The police commandoes are in talks with the gunmen, who are blocked in a flat of the residential house in the city Tyrnyauz in Kabardino-Balkaria, to evacuate a woman with a child, a source in the republican law enforcement agencies told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
The gang of three gunmen was blocked on Wednesday morning. “The dwellers of other flats in a 5-storey residential house on the road leading out of the city Tyrnyauz towards the Elbrus foothills were already evacuated,” the source said.
The anti-terrorist operation regime was introduced at 09:00 Moscow time in Tyrnyauz. Several special security measures and temporary restrictions will be in effect until special orders.
