MAKHACHKALA, January 16 (Itar-Tass) — Unidentified gunmen opened fire at a police patrol car with four policemen inside it in the Kizilyurt district of Dagestan. No casualties were reported.
“The incident occurred in Kirovaul in the Naberezhnaya Street last Tuesday,” the republican Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Wednesday. Unidentified gunmen from the parked car opened fire at the police patrol car VAZ-21014 driving nearby. The police patrol car was ripped through by the bullets. The policemen returned the fire on the attackers, but the bandits escaped from the crime scene. A submachine gun Kalashnikov, three magazines loaded with 90 cartridges with the 5.45-mm calibre and two grenades were found in the car abandoned by the bandits.
The search for the attackers continues.
The criminal case was opened and the investigation continues.
