MOSCOW, January 10 (Itar-Tass) – Russian opposition and the Moscow mayor’s office have agreed on technical details of an opposition march scheduled for January 13, Pyotr Tsarkov, one of the action’s organizers, told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
"We are forbidden to bring thermos bottles with tea and coffee. Carrying any liquids will be banned. However, cafes which won’t sell alcohol and other spirits but will sell coffee and tea will work on the route,” Tsarkov said. He added that it was also forbidden to bring sharp and piercing objects as well as wooden flagstaffs and posts for banners. However, plastic flagstaffs and posts for banners are allowed.
"We have covered the route today. It’s suitable for the march. Utility workers have promised to clean the roadsides from snow,” Tsarkov went on to say.
The opposition will march from Strastnoy Boulevard to Sakharov Prospect without crossing the Garden Ring. The demonstrators will gather at 13:00 Moscow time; the column will start moving at 14:00 Moscow time. The action will be over at 16:30 Moscow time.
The opposition is calling for repealing a law that was adopted in retaliation to the Magnitsky Act and for dissolving the Russian State Duma.
