Two people killed, three injured in metallic beam collapse at Achinsk oil refinery

The metallic beam fell down from a height of 20 metres over mounting works

KRASNOYARSK, January 10 (Itar-Tass) — Two people were killed and another three people were injured in the collapse of a metallic beam at the Achinsk oil refinery in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the press service of the Krasnoyarsk territorial emergency situation department told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

The alarm call came at 16:55 local time (12:55 Moscow time) to the emergency duty officer about the metallic beam, which collapsed in a coke shop, which is being built at the Achinsk oil refinery. The metallic beam fell down from a height of 20 metres over mounting works.

The ambulances rushed to the incident site.
