January 13 march organizers agree to Town Hall-proposed route

Town Hall is to officially announce permission to carry out the action later on Wednesday

MOSCOW, January 9 (Itar-Tass) — The organizers of the Opposition's rally in Moscow on January 13 agreed with the route proposed by the authorities, from Strastnoi Parkway to Sakharov Prospekt /Avenue/, Pyotr Tsarkov, an Opposition activist and one of the organizers of the action, told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

Initially, the Opposition, whose main slogans at the rally would be the demand for annulling the "anti-Magnitsky" law and dissolving the State Duma /parliament/ intended to march through central Moscow to the building of the lower house. But Town Hall offered them two other routes: along Frunzenskaya Embankment and from Strastnoi Parkway to Sakharov Prospect.

Town Hall is to officially announce permission to carry out the action later on Wednesday.
