SOCHI, January 7 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived at the St Trinity and St George Monastery to attend Christmas service. The Monastery is located in Lesnoye (forest) Village, Adler District of Sochi. The Head of State is present at the festive service in the Monastery's temple honouring the Peschany and Vladimir Icons of the Mother of God.
Putin regularly visits temples during big church feasts. On Easters, he more often attends a service in Moscow in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, whereas on Christmas he prefers celebrating it outside the capital.
