President signs law on administrative responsibility for frauds with Sochi Games’ tickets

The document states that prices for tickets to the sports events will be fixed by the International Olympic Committee and International Paralympic Committee

MOSCOW, January 2 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s President Vladimir Putin signed a law which introduces administrative responsibility for individuals and companies for frauds with tickets to the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014.

The document states that prices for tickets to the sports events will be fixed by the International Olympic Committee and International Paralympic Committee. The Russian government will be only suggesting how the tickets will be sold.

The law introduces administrative responsibility for individuals and organisations for violations of the order and also introduces a shorter, ten-day, term for court decisions on the violations.
