NIZHNY NOVGOROD, January 2 (Itar-Tass) — About 7 thousand people have been left without heating supply iNizhny Novgorodn as a result of an emergency that occurred on Wednesday morning on the heating network in the city’s industrial district. The incident was caused by the dilapidated network.
According to the press service of the regional department of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM), a rupture of a 400-mm pipe of the heating supply network left without heating 30 apartment buildings with a population of about 7 thousand.
The EMERCOM department said, however, that “there is no threat of freezing of the heating supply system.”
