RF State Duma to begin spring session with improvement of adoption institute

The president offered concrete initiatives concerning the legislative aspect, Naryshkin stressed

MOSCOW, December 30 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian State Duma lower parliament house will waste no time from the very beginning of its spring session to improve the institute of adoption in Russian and to support parentless children, Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin told journalists on Saturday.

“I think the measures proposed in the presidential decree are systemic and balanced. They concern a wide spectrum of areas and competences of power bodies at all levels,” he said.

The president offered concrete initiatives concerning the legislative aspect, Naryshkin stressed. “I believe that the parliament can begin corresponding work from the very beginning of its spring session,” he noted.

“I think that the next meeting of the expert council under the Duma speaker will be dedicated to such an important subject as measures of support to parentless children and the state policy in this sphere,” he added. Apart from that, according to the speaker, the agenda will include problems of the improvement of the institute of adoption and support measures to families with children, in line with the State Duma statement of December 21, 2012.
