YEKATERINBURG, December 28 (Itar-Tass) — Two people were killed and another two people were injured in the road accident in Chelyabinsk, where a car skidded on the walkway, chief police press officer of the Chelyabinsk regional road police department Alexei Gorshkov told Itar-Tass on Friday. It was initially reported about two killed men and one injured woman.
The road accident occurred in Chelyabinsk on Thursday, December 27, at the bus terminal Rodnik. The car skidded on the walkway, killing two women and another woman got an ankle fracture and one more woman got numerous wounds: open shoulder blade fracture, collarbone fracture, two open hip fractures and a head injury. She was hospitalized in heavy condition.
The Ford Focus driver lost control of the wheel and skidded on the walkway. The medical examination found that the driver was drunk. “He did not have a driving license with him, as he left it at home. He was brought twice to administrative responsibility for not giving the free passage to the pedestrians. His driving experience makes only one year,” Gorshkov said. The driver noted that he fell asleep at the wheel, woke up only after the road accident and does not remember anything.
