MOSCOW, December 27 (Itar-Tass) — The law responding to the US Magnitsky Act, which passed the Federation Council, is at the presidential administration, Head of the Office Sergei Ivanov said on Thursday.

“It was delivered to the presidential administration this morning,” he said.

On Wednesday, the president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said “according to the legislation, the president has two weeks to consider the document.” The press secretary did not give a clear answer to the question whether Putin would sign the law in its present form, with addendums or whether he would refuse to ink it. “Let’s see,” was his only reply.
