MOSCOW, December 27 (Itar-Tass) — The police detained two men, who presumably knocked down two people to death in Moscow, the press service of the main Interior Ministry’s department reported on Thursday.
The road accident occurred about 06:20 Moscow time at 70, Vernadsky Avenue, on Thursday, the press service said. The Subaru driver knocked down a woman, who was crossing the road, and escaped. The injured woman died of wounds instantaneously.
“The police that arrived at the crime scene at 97, Vernadsky Avenue, have found an abandoned car with the traces of mechanical damages, at which a man was found dead that presumably became the victim of the road accident too,” the press service reported.
During the search operation two men were detained on suspicions of committing this road accident. They were brought to the police station to investigate the road accident.
