MOSCOW, December 26 (Itar-Tass) — The number of people killed in the St Petersburg house fire has risen to four, the regional department of the Emergency Situations Ministry told Itar-Tass on Wednesday. Another six persons have been injured.
The fire broke out on the second floor of a four-storey apartment house in Prospekt Stachek at 10:12, Moscow time and engulfed 700 square meters of housing, an emergencies official said, adding that the fire had been contained by now.
