MOSCOW, December 23 (Itar-Tass) – A man who took two female bank employees hostage was neutralized in Kaluga on Saturday evening, the Russian Investigation Committee told Itar-Tass.
"A man who entered the Trust bank in Kaluga took two female employees hostage. He demanded 15 million rubles and a car. However, the police neutralized the man,” the Investigation Committee said. It added that the women were unhurt while the man had received a bullet wound in his leg.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated on charges of hostage taking.
