Nobody died in Yekaterinburg hotel fire -- updated inf

YEKATERINBURG, December 22 (Itar-Tass) —— According to the updated information, nobody died in the Yekaterininskaya hotel fire in Yekaterinburg.

Two hotel employees were injured in the fire. They were taken to the city hospital, the press service of the Emergencies Ministry's regional department told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

The fire alarm signal was received at 05:30 local time (03:30 Moscow time) on Saturday. The blaze broke out in a restaurant on the second floor of the five-storey building. The bar and furniture caught fire. Forty sq m were ablaze. Sixty eight firemen fought the fire. They used 21 machines. Thirteen people were evacuated, including two with the use of fire engine ladders, the press service said earlier.

It was reported earlier that two people died.
