Two night bar visitors die in Yekaterinburg hotel fire

Thirteen people were evacuated, including two with the use of fire engine ladders

YEKATERINBURG, December 22 (Itar-Tass) —— A fire broke out in a night bar in the Yekaterininskaya hotel in Yekaterinburg early on Saturday morning. Two people died there.

The open blaze is extinguished, the press service of the Emergencies Ministry's regional department reported.

Firefighters are continuing to work at the site.

The fire alarm signal was received at 05:30 local time (03:30 Moscow time). The blaze broke out in a restaurant on the second floor of the five-storey building. Forty sq m were afire. Sixty eight firemen fought the blaze. They used 21 machines. Thirteen people were evacuated, including two with the use of fire engine ladders, the press service said.
